How to Stop Panic Attacks
This website is dedicated
to helping those who experience panic
attacks or anxiety attacks. I will share with you
information that is both autobiographical as well as educational in
nature to help you.
Rest assured, the answers lie within you. They really do.
Confronting problems is not easy but when done so, our lives
evolve for the better. That is my testimony regarding panic
attacks
Panic attacks can be really frightening and disconcerting, but
for the most part, they’re physically harmless events. An anxiety
attack or panic attack can happen at anytime, even at random, when
a person is exposed to some external stimuli or stimulus that
initiates the attack. Generally speaking, the attack will hit a
peak or apogee with its intensity very quickly and then
disappear.
Let’s Talk About Panic
Attacks
People experiencing panic attacks may fear everything from death
to suffocation to heart attacks to being burned to being eaten by
an animal. Some may become totally irrational when they have a
panic attack.
Some symptoms are for most rapid
breathing with an accelerated heart rate, spontaneous and
excessive sweating, chills but then within 30 minutes to an
hour, the symptoms of the anxiety attacks disappear
It may surprise you to know that approximately 5% of the
population will experience panic attacks during their lifetimes.
For some, these attacks are constant visitors for some a rare
experience. For some, they will only experience one or two attacks
in their life.
Those who are inclined to repeated attacks need further
evaluation from a mental health professional. Why are panic attacks
so important to deal with? Anxiety attacks can indicate the
presence of a panic disorder, a proclivity toward uncontrolled
emotionalism, depression, or other forms of anxiety-based
illnesses.
Just What Are Panic Attacks?
A panic attack or an anxiety attack is a sudden episode of
intense fear that develops for no apparent reason and that
consequently triggers severe physical reactions like those
mentioned above.
The attack has its origin in one’s thoughts and in one’s thought
submodalities. Anxiety attacks can be very disconcerting and even
embarrassing as they are for a moment seemingly uncontrollable.
That said, when panic attacks happen the sufferer might think
they’re losing control, that they’re in considerable risk of life
or danger.
Have you ever had an anxiety attack in your lifetime? If so,
we’re here to help. If you’ve only had a coule of panic attacks in
your lifetime, that’s good but you can still develop more control
over your internal processes. However, if you have panic attacks on
a fairly frequent basis, it could mean that you have panic
disorder, a type of chronic anxiety disorder, and that is important
to know and to cure or deal with.
Before modern day medical science was better educated, many
health practitioners dismissed attacks as simply nerves or stress.
Now, though, they're officially recognized as a real medical
situation or condition.
In summary, while anxiety attacks can dramatically affect your
quality of life, various treatments like mental relaxation
techniques, or medications, or psychotherapy can help you prevent
or control panic attacks. These remedies have helped others, they
can help you.
Yours in health,
